The brief

“Disrupt” suggests a challenge to the status quo and an introduction of new ideas or perspectives that could change existing societal norms or fashion trends. The word carries an element of forcefulness—indicating a significant, even revolutionary, impact. It promises a read that won’t just inform, but actively change the way one thinks or operates.

Perspectives

From our first conversation, where ideas flowed naturally, we set out to challenge the stereotypes surrounding nudity. Jem’s comfort in her own skin was perceivable, even as she posed semi-nude in an open garden. Her presence is amplified by the use of vivid red tones that serve both as a visual complement and a thematic echo.

Cluster

Forget diamonds—grapes are a girl’s best friend.

Urging us to find delight in the mundane, “Cluster” challenges us to reconsider our ideas of beauty and luxury. Could nature be the ultimate designer? Here, fruits are more than just sustenance; they are fashion statements waiting to happen.

Ellie

Urbanic

Ellie personifies different settings in the city, to reimagine the modern city-girl.

Letting go

Under the vast sky, her exhale formed the clouds. In her grasp, a seemingly black plane; in reality, a fiery red emblem of unspoken dreams. With a flick, she released it and, with it, her restraints. In that fleeting moment, life was about liberation.

Jill and Jack

*Phone rings*

Jill: New phone…who dis?

Jack: Hey, it’s Jack from Hilton.
Jill: Ummm… doesn’t ring a bell
Jack: You spilled your drink. Remember?

Jill: Oh, yeah! How’d you get my number?

Jack: Got creative. Hope that’s alright.

Jill: Kinda weird, but what’s up?
Jack: Fancy a picnic at the hill?
Jill: Given the circumstances, not sure

Jack: Want to come to my place, just us?

Jill: That’s creepy, not okay

Jack: Sorry, how bout some sushi next week?

Jill: Sushi? I’ve been craving it!

Seeing

In today’s fast-paced, video-centric world, “Seeing” pauses time to spotlight the unique details only found in still images. Photographs—great ones especially—slow things down and particularize, inviting us to linger and find unity. It challenges the notion that a photo’s meaning is solely the photographer’s intent, making us aware of the difference between watching and seeing.
